Today another photo from our trip to Óbidos. Travel has resumed. Certainly not at pre-pandemic levels, but people are now out and about. So it helps to get where you want to go early in the day.
When we arrived in Óbidos we were able to secure a free parking space. And as we climbed the wall, at first we noticed only two other visitors on the wall. In many ways, our first travel experiences in Portugal have spoiled us. No lines at Pena Palace. No one at all in the Castelo dos Mouros. On our first trip to Lisbon and Belém, I was able to photograph monuments and squares devoid of people.
At moments like these, it is easy to imagine that this is our kingdom.
Such a beautiful photo!
Or, your queendom, perhaps.
