Awwww will miss you so much, all three of you. But don’t tell Denise you are my fav! It was so nice to run into you guys walking around the neighborhood. My friends and son loved meeting you and enjoyed your hospitality. We visited each other without any formality. You have always been kind with any questions I have had, Denise was always happy to give me golf tips, as I am getting into the groove. It’s very hard to say good bye, to such special people like you guys. I have already checked out your new neighborhood which is beautiful in many ways, but not Cascais and very soon we will meet again. Me casa es Su casa. ♥️

You showed us around Caiscas and we found it so beautiful and charming! We aren’t going to end up there, ourselves, but I am so glad that you introduced us to it. With the friends you have made there, maybe occasional getaways back will be on your agenda…

Now on to your new adventure in the south!

What a nice tribute to your past year of people you made friends with. I can only imagine that your new home will bring in more great experiences. In just 1 year, your lives were enriched beyond compare and memories you will always look back on. Good luck on the next chapter. Bom viagem!

Thanks for your lovely ode to Cascais. I moved from Florida and arrived here on December 29. I am loving it so far and am having dreams of buying here but I am nowhere near the budget that you mentioned so I guess I’ll have to give up on that dream! I love walking along the ocean and also meandering around the streets. The walk to the waterfall that you mentioned by the Mercado sounds great. I’d love to give it a try. Would you please give me some more information about how to get to it?

I’ve heard that VRSA is also a lovely area & I hope you will love your new home. It will be different but will hopefully soon become home. Congratulations and enjoy.!

Hello. I so enjoy your writing. Would you be willing to share the name of your realto? My husband and I will soon be scouting for a property in Cascais and are anxious to find a good real estate professional who can help us. Good luck in the Algarve!

thanks so much for this - loving it. for a newbie - considering Portugal as retirement home - Cascais or Algarve - i live in Europe and know a bit from some past trips to Lisbon, Porto, Algarve - but have never lived there - your description of Cascais makes it seem a real option - why are you moving? with BEST wishes in the journey!

Love the article and can feel the connections made to the community which will be continued! Curious if you made an exploratory trip and found your condo, found it virtually or after you were onsite renting? We will be moving in September and could use a realtor referral.
