The use of the mud for healthy skin was interesting. My wife had periodic skin rashes that required prescription cream. The cream eliminated the rash for a month or so. A few years ago, we went to Israel and visited the Dead Sea which has an extremely high level of salt and other minerals. She spent several hours in the water and also rubbed the black mud (from under the water) all over her body. The skin rashes were gone for close to two years. Our dermatologist found scientific research supporting the effectiveness of this treatment.

I've done mud baths followed by salt water soaks in Italy and Israel. Your skin is cleansed and exfoliated, and left feeling baby smooth. It's WONDERFUL!!

All the fun things I like to do leave me covered in dirt and salt.

Yes. My daughter and I tend to do cold things every now and then. We have done some cold triathlons and swam in Ha Long Bay Vietnam in December. Anyway, it’s an adventure for us. Love your articles. Julie

As usual, lovely scene setting!

Question please. We'll be landing in our new home of Lagos middle of this month! We're trying to decide whether to ship our bikes, which are "regular" easy-going Sun Cruz. We're thinking that it might be helpful to have an electric bike for the hilly topography and sell our bikes here in the state and buy e-bikes. Would like to hear your thoughts on whether it'd be helpful to have an e-bike and how readily available are they? Thanks for your on-going insights!

E bikes are readily available….but I am not sure you will need one. We have not spent time in Lagos…but where we are it is fairly flat.
