I'm so glad the summertime events are back as we've had a quiet time following lockdown. Some years ago we also had a big screen in the square to watch World Cup football and it was a pleasure to sit in the darkening evening with others enjoying a drink. I recall one teenage boy was a little tipsy but his friends apologised for him and lead him away. We also saw Tony Carreira on one occasion as well as some rock bands. It is just so nice and different to be able to sit in good company without bother and fights - and people do like to dance.

You are wonderful observer, Nancy! I just happened to be only few hours at the beach in Albufeira few days ago on the tour Spain/Portugal. I’m sure VRSA less touristy . You 2 were very wise with location choice

Another wonderful story. Thanks for sharing. Hey, can you remind me where that great furniture area is? I think you mentioned it’s up near Porto. We are specifically looking to see a wide array of patio furniture. Obrigado!

I read in Jorge Branco’s newsletter that a weather system over the Azores is sparing Portugal’s coastal areas from the worse of the heat. He have had a few steamy days, but most have been quite pleasant.
