Ah, so you can't reach some par 4s in regulation. Welcome to my world. And, yes, it really is all about the short game. Even if you reach a par 4 in regulation and putt like s..., what good is it? Unhappily, I and most people I know spend way too little time on the practice putting green compared to the driving range. A short game practice area is also a must. How are the practice facilities at the club? And, yes, it does sound a bit pricey. But I imagine if you were in Japan or Korea it would be a friggin' fortune!

Glad you are finally playing golf. BTW...I have a RAD bike and I love it. Unfortunately I tore some tendons in my butt, so haven't been able to ride it for a while. Love all your posts!!!

I have got to ask, how do you tear tendons in your butt...if a trapeze is involved, I'm all ears.

OMG Nancy...that cracked my up!! Wish it was something fun like that. I actually think it happened the first time I rode the bike. Not sure how as I barely pedalled because I was having too much fun with the throttle. I think I had a slight tear in my piriformis muscle and the movement on the bike must have torn the tendons. It was excruciating for several days...am doing better now. Between PT and Pilates am working on strengthening the muscles around the tears so I can get back on the bike soon!! Hope this wasn't TMI!!!!
