I love your blog! I have your Google sheet bookmarked so I can easily read two or three of your entries at a time, depending on the topic of interest. Today it's banking and architecture in Portugal so I ended up here.

Anyway, thanks for writing and sharing your experiences! I hope someday we get to meet you and Denise in person when we make the big move.

Cheers to a great weekend,

Malou

Can you change the facade of the house or you cannot?

Does it have a yard?

I hope you get a quick approval. They normally take too long!

Good luck 👍

Hi Maria, Since we are in the historic district the facade of the house is strictly enforced. It has a small yard/courtyard and a very large rooftop. The initial planning permission took about 7 weeks...which was fast given there was an election in the middle of it.

Let’s hope the next permits will not take too long…

I look forward to learning more. My wife and I are waiting for our visas (applied last month in SF). We will live in Lisbon initially and then take a good long look at the Silver Coast. Not sure if we will rent, buy new or renovate.

Michael, we have a good friend that recently purchased an apartment on the Silver Coast. It is a beautiful area!
