We think you would have been right at home in Columbus, Indiana, where we lived for over 20 years. Many great 20th C architects, including both Saarinens, did buildings there. All were commissioned by the Cummins Foundation, following the vision of J. Irwin Miller, who was chairman of the company from 1951 until 1977. His mid-century modern home in Columbus was designed by Eero Saarinen. It now on the list of National Historic Landmarks. Even today, over 65 years after it was built, it stands out as a truly modern design. not that my compliment is credible as I sit here on the couch I bought in 1999 at Rooms To Go but wow! Those renderings are beautiful. Your place is going to be beautiful.
Your design aesthetic is clean, inviting and timeless - really love it! Now I have to go down the rabbit hole of furniture making and buying in Portugal. All good stuff!

I love your choices!! My taste is very much in sync with yours. It’s incredible that you can get all of your furnishings from one vendor and that everything is customized ! The customization option is not something I’ve ever found in the U.S. And, they even will build a piece you designed (the bar/storage unit). I am amazed. You chose well!!! How exciting!

I remember that October trip well. You spoke of going there with another couple. How fun it must have been narrowing down which company to use.
