Thanks, informative as always. BTW, I've heard a different version of that saying : "Porto works, Braga prays, Coimbra studies, and Lisbon gets the money"

Good travel commentary. I’m planning a trip to Portugal for this fall and will be in the Porto area for part of it. I think I need to take a slight detour to see Braga.

I want to live in Braga ! Also considering a few other places but this small city keeps catching my eye. Don’t mind change of weather will be coming from snow filled winters and 100.+ summers. Is it really a small city?

Yes it is a small city with a young and vibrant population. Brazilian friends we met in VRSA just moved there and are loving it. There are so many festivals and the university offers lots of options! If you don't mind rainy winters I would definitely put it high on your list.
