What idyllic, wonderful lives and what a beautiful experience. I didn't know about the tea farm and would love to try it. We are used to the ceylon style of tea characteristic of Great Britain so the available tea in Portugal has always been hit and miss for us.

As an Old Farmer, I was delighted to learn about the growing of the tea and using the Hotbed method, as a natural pesticide and the ripening of the pineapples. Just fascinating.

Wow, thank you for a wonderful account of your travels around the Azores! I really enjoyed this episode. Please also remember to watch the movie filmed in Sao Miguel called Rabo de Peixe (A Fish Tale or Turn the Tide) based on what happened there a number of years ago. It is in English on Netflix.

I love those cows, I was thinking they were so cooperative until I saw the last few cows! Everything else is delightful!

São Miguel is a magnificent island. There's always a temperate climate and green landscapes, the people are friendly and above all: I felt immense peace as soon as I stepped off the plane at São Miguel airport. Have you tried the Furnas stew?

No, though we visited Furnas, I did not try the stew as I am a vegetarian. I am told there is Furnas corn on the cob...
