We have visited that beach. It was early February 2022. We had an Air B&B in the middle of an orange grove and an excellent experience for a few days. Enjoying your blog and sense of humor and adventure

You clearly have too much loose cash of you need a beach cottage which starts at $300K. What about a portable cabana? Go to Amazon.com.

Thanks for another great post. The area looks amazing. I haven’t been to the Algarve yet but am looking forward to doing so soon..

If only I had a spare million, I would think of buying the property that became available 😹😹😹

Pedras d'el Rei is legally constituted as a normal village. It's not a tourist resort, nor a hotel. The train operates on public land in Portugal, but all the profits go into private pockets, due to endemic corruption in local administrations. The link you have included in your blog post to a .com webpage is promoting a criminal organisation. For further information, please see www.pedrasdelrei.org

Have I been hasty in my dismissal of the deep south (of Portugal)? Perhaps it isn't too warm there for someone who prefers temps in the low to mid 70s F / very low 20s C? It certainly is breathtaking.
