While there are many parks in Cascais, the one in the center of town is special. It has a carousel.
When we first visited Cascais I was enchanted by the children tugging at their parents and begging for a ride. (Of course, I have never had children so I think that type of behavior is adorable.) However, in early February, the drapes which encircle the carousel were closed in response to the Covid precautions. No more rides…no more music. A sad reminder.
This week, however, the drapes were drawn. The music and the rides resumed. We hope the children are able to continue to play.
unfortunately Calgary is experiencing restrictions once again. My house backs onto a middle school, grade 5 to 9. During school hours I do enjoy watching the children play in the field during their recess and gym times. However, extracurricular soccer, baseball has been shut down for now so the field is quiet after school hours. Still is so surreal to me.
