Nancy I wish you a speedy recovery... I hope it wasn't your painting hand that you injured... I am left handed and broke my left wrist many years ago, it never got back 100% of the flexibility...
Congrats on the sales but mostly for putting yourself out there! I wish you much more success in this aspect of your life.
PS you had me worried... maybe that was your intent, you sneaky so-and-so, LOL! I thought this meant you were chucking Portugal! I am glad this is NOT what the story was about.
It's a Joy not an affirmation when someone buys a work. There's no way to figure out why. Or what to paint so it sells. Except to downgrade to the banal work of commercialism.
Paint what's in your souls and your heart thigh it may be wide ranging.
Oh, man, Nancy, so sorry to hear about the wrist. I’d say you did really well at the show and I’m thrilled you are putting your work out there. Good on Denise for coming to the rescue with Onix! Heal up and we’ll see you soon.
What a wonderful story - except for the broken hand and future surgery. I have reached the age where I appreciate that a well-lived life is one spent in lots of different communities. While there are always individuals who stand out and stand beside us, it is the communities that sustain and nourish us. The amazing thing is that they surround us even when we don't purposefully seek them out. It seems you are surrouned by many nourishing communities. What a gift.
Thanks for the suggestion. All the dog jet services we have found are booked until February and we would rather not wait that long. Did Ónix travel with you? Our boy is a bit too big for the cabin and we fear a crate in the hold would be traumatic . We’ll figure out something.
Onix was underneath with only 1 week of crate training. She was only 3.5 yrs old at the time and in good health. I truly believe i was more stressed by the process than she was. At least she forgave me immediately!

(Me too on the fear of chucking Portugal, Diane)

You and Denise look great and happy, even with your broken wrist!
Jan 28. You’ll be all better and can smack Saucy Catriona as needed.
