On January 1st, we had hoped to buy food and a SIM card. But as it was a holiday…everything was closed. To distract us, our landlord drove us to Sintra … just 15 minutes away. It is a magical place.
I will admit we didn’t take this photo. It was fogged in, and we don’t own a drone. But on a clear day, we can see the palace in the distance from the top of the hill just a few meters from our current residence.
