We spent only two nights in Loulé. I have nothing against the town. In fact, there are some aspects I liked very much. Their Saturday farmer’s market is perhaps the largest in the Algarve.

I love this lady…

It is so large that it pours outside the building into the streets, many of which are shaded by brightly colored banners.

Inside the Saturday Mercado…fresh fish.

Some of the architecture has a distinctively Moorish feel.

A traffic circle at dusk.

One of the main streets reminded me of an avenue in Barcelona.

Alfresco dining followed by a walk.

And there is a strange gazebo with white plaster musicians.

We waited all night for these guys to start playing.
