As you read this, we are in Puglia, a region in Italy … the heel of the boot. The last time I asked for your feedback, we were cruising Croatia’s islands. Hmmm … a theme? Perhaps, but I really do want and need your help.

Survey Says

I believe the last time I asked for reader feedback was June 2024. Since that time, our Subscriber (6529)/Follower (7589) family has more than doubled. I never imagined so many people would want to read what I write. Over the last 5 years, I have provided a post each and every week … at the beginning, even more frequently. A typical post takes about 5 hours to research, write, and edit. So I'm asking you to take 5 minutes out of your day to help me by answering a short, anonymous survey. Please keep in mind that posts continued every week despite a broken right elbow, two foot surgeries, cataract surgery, and now a casted left wrist.

Okay, I am not above guilt and shaming. I learned it from my mother.

No, really, please take time to click on this link to answer a few questions. (As I always do, I will share the results in future posts.) I am seriously thinking of changing the frequency with which I post to allow more time for my burgeoning art career. So it would help me to know what you think!

PS: Today is a national holiday in Portugal (Restoration of Independence Day), which commemorates the 1640 restoration of Portuguese sovereignty after 60 years of Spanish rule. It is also known as the Day of Independence of the Kingdom of Portugal.

Also, in follow up to last week’s post our health insurance increased by nearly 12% for 2026. The new premium is 671€ per month, which covers both of us.
