We traveled to Lisbon last week. The busy city glows each evening. And while December is one of the wettest months of the year, no one seems to mind.
They gather at the Christmas markets…sampling tasty treats…buying gifts … sipping ginja before eating the chocolate cups.
Last year’s jellyfish theme was replaced with peacock feathers. Not quite as spectacular, in my opinion, but still lovely.
We hired a tuk tuk so our friends would be able to see all the highlights.
Joao’s tuk tuk only holds six, but we wanted you to come along…
Next Week: our last construction update for 2022 and more lights!
I’m enjoying your reports from Vila Real Do Santo Antonio. Loved the video of the VRSA creche. It reminded me of all the fun of Christmas in my childhood. And now the Lisbon Christmas decorations!
In Aljezur, where my wife, Hania, and I currently live, the decorations are more held back and simple: a lit-up Christmas tree and lights on the igreja. And when I ask about the Christmas Market no one seems to know when it is. We’ll be going to Lisbon in a few days for some fun.
Keep telling your story, and Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Looks Fantastic! Reminds us of our Krist Kindle cruise on the Danube in Austria and Germany.
